Carly & Stephen
Thomson Cottage wedding at The Pass, Byron Bay.
Stephen, an electrician, and Carly, a teacher, are from the Central Coast in NSW. They chose a Thomson Cottage wedding in the National Park adjacent to the famous surf break of The Pass at Byron Bay. Carly wore a stunning ivory wedding dress and Stephen an open- necked white shirt and dark blue trousers. They opted not to have a bridal party or a bridal entrance, preferring to enter together and mingle with guests both before and after the ceremony.
Guests gathered around on the grassy front lawn of the house and chatted with bride and groom prior to the main event getting underway! It was a lovely, elegant and simple ceremony. Rather than music, there was the lapping of the water on the beach and the birds in the trees. nature provided all the necessary accompaniments. Stephen and Carly wrote their own personal vows to each other. The depth of love and commitment they felt for each other was evident to everyone present. A truly lovely and unique ceremony! It is so important for each couple to have a ceremony designed and written for them that reflects their personalities, wishes and vision. I was very happy to be able to deliver such a ceremony for them. The register was signed, along with their two witnesses, on the deck of the beautiful cottage in the warm afternoon sunlight. Guests and the newly married couple enjoyed a drink on the front lawn prior to a lovely a catered dinner at the house.
