Sharon & Andrew

Sharon and Andrew, from Brisbane, Queensland were married under an arbour on the beautiful Broken Head Beach.

The location:

Sharon and Andrew decided to get married in the beautiful Byron Shire. Why do people from interstate and overseas flock to the Byron shire to be married? The photos on my website will show you why- it is simply (I’m not at all biased!) one of the most beautiful locations on earth. Sharon and Andrew chose the spectacular Broken Head beach, just south of Byron Bay.

From the beach, you can see the iconic Byron Bay lighthouse to the north. Broken Head is locally renowned for its right hand surf break.  Often, dolphins will accompany the surfers on the waves in to shore. Sometimes, whales can be seen breaching in the distance either on their way to warmer waters to give birth, or travelling back south with their young.

The accommodation at Broken Head ranges from the decadent, to the more laid back atmosphere of the local caravan park.

The Ceremony at Broken Head Beach:

On the day of Sharon and Andrew’s civil ceremony, the skies were clear.  There was a beautifully gentle breeze. The arbour they stood under to declare their public commitment to each other had a stunning floral arrangement attached to it.

Bride and Groom each wore white, and held hands during the ceremony with family and friends looking on. There was a tangible sense of love and happiness in the air. For friends and family, there is nothing more special than seeing the people you love experiencing such a special ritual together. The wonderful Carly Tia, photographer extraordinaire, captured their ceremony beautifully. Many moments forever frozen in time, for the happy couple to reflect back on in the years to come.  They could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Another lovely couple I was privileged to marry!
