Figtree Weddings Byron Bay

If you’re planning a Byron Bay wedding and are considering Figtree as your venue, well hello and welcome to this blog! As a celebrant who’s had the absolute joy of marrying many incredible couples under those leafy branches, I can tell you: Figtree Weddings in Byron Bay are next-level special.

Why Figtree Is a Great Byron Bay Wedding Venue

So, what makes Figtree such a crowd (and celebrant!) favourite? Let me break it down for you:

  • First off, the views are ridiculous — think rolling hills, the ocean, and Cape Byron Lighthouse all in one panoramic moment.

  • Secondly, the venue layout is effortlessly elegant. You start your ceremony beneath the fig tree, wander through the olive grove for cocktails by the pool, and finish the night in the open, light-filled restaurant.

  • Even better, Figtree suits a range of wedding styles — from luxe elopements and micro-weddings to big celebrations with the full wedding party in tow.

Real Weddings at Figtree Byron Bay

Here’s a little peek into just a few of the real love stories I’ve been lucky enough to officiate at Figtree. Whether the guest list was two or 80, the energy was always full of love and joy.

Britta and Quinn

A clear blue sky set the scene for Britta and Quinn’s formal wedding. We had full views of Cape Byron and the lighthouse. They kept styling minimal — a couple of ground florals framed by the natural beauty of the fig tree. The result? A ceremony that felt intimate, timeless, and so Byron Bay.

Nat and Hadley

Figtree isn’t just for big weddings. Nat and Hadley had a beautiful micro-wedding — simple, romantic, and deeply personal. With just a handful of guests, the ceremony space felt peaceful and private and it was their love that took centre stage!

Lesley and Chris had the Big Red Bus Energy

Guests arrived in style on Byron’s iconic big red bus, and a full bridal party brought the fun. Figtree can handle the scale of a larger wedding while still keeping everything feeling grounded and relaxed.

Amanda and Mike had a friend led ceremony

Another type of ceremony I sometimes do is what is called a ‘friend-led ceremony’ which is exactly what it says on the tin. A friend writes and delivers the ceremony, whilst I step in to take care of the legal bits. Amanda and Mike had Lucy, their good friend, conduct their ceremony.

Laura and Dan

Laura and Dan were another gorgeous couple who were lucky enough to score a stunning day of blue skies and gentle breezes at Figtree for their wedding day. But having said that, no two weddings here ever feel the same!

Alicia and Conner

had a gorgeous formal wedding at Figtree with incredible views, an easy flow, and joyful vibes from start to finish.

Tamara and Evan had their Pups along

These two legends had their dogs in the ceremony — one pup sporting a black tie, the other rocking a floral wreath. Figtree’s open layout and pet-friendly flexibility meant the furry friends could be part of the action. And you’re right, it was just as adorable as it sounds 🙂

Why I Love Being a Celebrant For Figtree Weddings

When couples ask me where I love working most, Figtree Weddings is one of my top suggestions. Here’s why:

  • First of all, they have options for both fine and wet weather- so no need to stress over last-minute forecasts. We are covered- literally!

  • Secondly, the food is incredible! I always tell couples that you are in for a serious treat!
  • On top of that, the venue can help couples plan stress-free weekday ceremonies that make the most of Figtree’s beauty without the pressure of weekend chaos, but they also expertly guide couples through every step of a weekend wedding with all the trimmings.

  • From my side, my couples love that I print out personalised vow cards for them, write a personalised ceremony,  fit in to their dress code and preferred ceremony style, and work seamlessly alongside the Figtree staff, making their whole day feel relaxed and unforgettable.

  • And as a bonus, I offer to MC your reception to take the stress away entirely and keep the good times rolling!

Planning a Weekday Wedding at Figtree?

Here’s a little insider tip for couples planning from afar:

Weekday weddings at Figtree — think Monday to Thursday — are often easier to book, more peaceful (no weekend crowds!), and can even save you money on vendors and accommodation. It’s an ideal option if you’re after a simpler, more intimate celebration that still feels full of magic.

It includes:

  • A fully personalised ceremony

  • Byron Bay vendor recommendations

  • Printed vows + a calming, friendly face on the day (that’s me!)

  • Option of having me on as your MC to take the stress away from that family member or friend!
