As a marriage celebrant, I’ve been lucky enough to officiate several weddings at Earth House. Every time I arrive I’m reminded why it’s one of the Northern Rivers’ most sought-after wedding venues!

If you’re considering Earth House for your wedding, I hope these photos from a recent open day give you a real feel for the venue and help you imagine what your own celebration could look like.
Located on a beautiful 110-acre property near Clunes in the Byron Bay hinterland, Earth House combines spectacular rural views with one of the most distinctive wedding spaces in the region. Its Mediterranean-inspired architecture is built from rammed earth, giving the venue incredible warmth, texture and character while creating a cosy atmosphere that feels welcoming in every season.

A Ceremony Beneath the Fig Tree
One of my favourite parts of Earth House is the ceremony location.
Couples exchange their vows beneath a magnificent century-old fig tree overlooking the stunning Corndale Valley and the Nightcap Ranges. It’s peaceful, private and provides an incredible natural backdrop for your ceremony and photographs.
Whether you’re planning an intimate wedding or a larger celebration, the setting feels relaxed while still being incredibly elegant.

A Reception Space Full of Character
The reception space is equally impressive.
The soaring timber ceilings, polished concrete floors and signature rammed earth walls create a space that looks beautiful with almost any styling—from modern minimalism through to relaxed country or luxurious black-tie weddings.
One thing I particularly love is that the venue already has so much architectural character that couples don’t need to overdecorate. The building itself becomes part of the styling.

Everything in One Beautiful Location
Earth House offers couples the convenience of holding both their ceremony and reception in one location, along with boutique on-site accommodation for four people.
That means less travelling on the day, more time celebrating with family and friends, and one of the most seamless wedding experiences available in the Byron Bay hinterland.

Why I Love Celebrating Weddings at Earth House
As a celebrant, I always appreciate venues that are thoughtfully designed, easy for guests to enjoy and photograph beautifully throughout the day.
Earth House consistently delivers all three.
The ceremony setting is spectacular, the reception space works beautifully in all weather, and every corner of the property offers another incredible backdrop for your wedding photographs.
If you’re looking for a Byron Bay hinterland wedding venue that combines natural beauty with timeless architecture, Earth House is absolutely worth adding to your shortlist.
